In spite of the statutory warning on the cigarette packets smokers smoke! How did this all begin? Has anyone ever wondered? Smoking is an act of burning the dried or curved leaves of the tobacco plant and inhaling the smoke for pleasure or out of habit. The practice was common among Native Americans and was later introduced to the rest of the world by sailors following European exploration of the America. This intake of tobacco leads to a number of perilous diseases.

Quitting smoking is a tough but a necessary step. People addicted to smoking often find it difficult to quit it. Therefore it is always advisable not to start it. It is both emotionally and physically challenging to quit smoking. It takes a lot of courage to quit smoking. Meditation and support from family may increase the possibilities.

A healthy smoker is one who smokes because his or her lungs are resistant to the ill effects of smoking. Despite this, you might think that healthy smoking just doesn’t exist, but rest assured you could easily be one.

Cigarette filters thought they boast of reducing the effects of smoking are best not to be trusted completely. The net result is the same hazardous fate. So it is always advisable not to smoke.

And the biggest thing to keep in mind is that smoking reduces your life by ten years and that too it wont be a natural death. Now that isn’t a nice way to die!
